Finally inspiration punched me in the face and I wrote my absolute OTP for Reborn...kinda. This was as close to X27 IC as I could get, without them already being in an established relationship. I like reading how people come to know each other and how they find their common ground, and I found out Tsuna and Xanxus interacting without them being TYL and Xanxus flipping a shit is horrendously hard but totally worth the try. Title: Sovereign Call Author: ember_alda Rating: PG-13 Characters: Xanxus POV, Tsuna, and Timoteo. Can be read as gen. Word Count: 4,192 Summary: Years of believing in his right to power is met by a boy who is as cruel as he is just. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should go as? I've been searching the web and I've noticed that cosplaying isn't cheap. And I don't want anything too revealing. I would like to know any other do's and don'ts of cosplay, mainly things learned from personal experience. I've read up on the basics, but I'm still kinda nervous. dudeandlulugirl	1:00a	My chocorooms were all gone today when I went to open the box that I had left in the black box with all my stuff on it. :( Had a total comic moment with Jeremy. I was going to recycle a bottle of water that I had just finished, but he was blocking my way to the bin. So I hit him on the forehead with the bottle, and I went to walk around. But he went the same way too and we crashed into each other and bonked heads. Funniest thing ever. It was also pretty good when I dropped a fry that I had just dipped in some ranch on the crotch of the guy sitting next to me when we went to Shari's. I made cranes for everyone~ The adventure dropping off Kiegan, Jo, John, and Jeremy was AMAZING. We blasted music and sung at the top of our lungs. We had a Chinese fire drill which involved Jeremy getting pulled into the car and ended up sprawled over everyone in the back seat. We looked at the stars at John's, and decided to have a stargazing party during Thanksgiving break hopefully for Quin's birthday. We listened to This is Deutch and I was declared the weirdest yet coolest person ever. (Newtype-o?)

My mom and I heard a colossal crash downstairs, and went to my room to find all my fucking clothes from summer to winter wear on hangers plus seasonal bedding stuff in disarray on the closet floor. The shelf is dangling from its bottom buttressing rails and the nails that were keeping the inner edge of the shelf to the wall have been ripped clean out of their holes. THANK YOU CALIFORNIAN HOUSING. THANK YOU ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS I.E. WALLS MADE OF REINFORCED CARDBOARD AND NAILS THAT ARE ABOUT .5 OF AN INCH LONG. THANK YOU WHOEVER BUILT THIS HOUSE AND USED TOO FEW OF THOSE NAILS ON THE WALLS. Fuck it all I'm going out for cheesecake. Current Mood: aggravated (5 Newtypes | Newtype-o?)

The blog is in English, but is geared toward people learning Spanish and has things like language learning tips, cultural information about Spanish-speaking countries, etc. Posts don't seem to be very frequent, but what there is looks interesting. (Sorry for posting this in English - my Spanish is not yet at a level where I can write about things like blogs and RSS feeds.) ETA: I just realized the LJ feed is showing something like a year's worth of posts, all with today's date! No, there are not really that many posts in a day. There's more like one every month or two. cairaguas	5:52p	Still working on grad apps... deadlines nearing... I was just writing Stanford's diversity statement. It gives me a 700 character limit to tell the admissions office how I will increase Stanford's diversity. Not 700 words, 700 characters. After writing a couple sentences about how I am a first-generation Mexican-American college student and how my interest in the sciences spans many disciplines, I thought about ending it with: "Also, I have a green belt in Hapkido. I am literally kick-ass." But I decided against it. I don't know how they would take that. (2 Newtypes | Newtype-o?)
