Nishikawa to voice new DESTINY character UPDATED AGAIN
Sunrise officially announced that T.M. Revolution's Takanori Nishikawa is voicing the new character Haine Westenfluss. The character is an elite pilot belonging to Athrun's Faith and uses the "Gouf Ignited".

Edit: A further explanation for the spelling, as I see it. The name seems to be German in origin, ハイネ being "Heine". But that's not the interesting thing. His last name seems to be the combination of two separate German words, ヴェステン (westen), and フルス (fluss). And, in German, "westen" means "west" and "fluss" means "river". Why is that interesting? Because that's exactly what the two kanji in 西川 (nishikawa) mean in Japanese as well, "west" + "river". Thanks to this Japanese-German site for helping make that connection.

UPDATE 2: Haine was the name Nishikawa went by early in his career as the vocalist for the band named Luis-Mary.

Hello, Friend-of-a-friend! I personally find a little lame, because the character TMR is voicing looks kinda like him. I just find that egotistical (although it's prob. not his fault) AND unoriginal (on the anime staff's part).

But High and Mighty Color = Cool.

His Gouf is so oogly in the opening, as is Andy's new like, yellow-orange and red suit. Ew.

But that is amusing that the TM Revolution guy got a character named after him in a strange way.

It's... ironic, but it might actually make me watch the series more since I'm a T.M. Revolution fan. Since so far, it feels like I'm making myself watch that series. ._.;;

I'm rather fond of this Gouf, even if its name is a bit... long. Still, it could be that Ignited is just a variant on the Gouf (or GOUF), as far as Destiny is concerned...
